Casablanca: Where the World Meets

In an interview with Global Platform, Mohammed Horani, Chairman and CEO of HPS Casablanca, Stephen Orr, Vice-President of Bombardier Midparc Morocco, and Andrew Jeffreys, CEO of Oxford Business Group, address what makes Casablanca an attractive centre for business.

Transcript:

ANDREW JEFFREYS: At the tip of Africa, close to the Mediterranean and halfway between New York and Dubai, Casablanca is the natural hub for business between the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Casablanca’s economy is spread across both services and industry. The city hosts Casablanca Finance City, and also Midparc, an industrial free zone that hosts some of the world’s most famous aeronautical companies. This city is about to become the terminus of Africa’s first high-speed rail link, and a €1.5bn transportation programme – covering buses, trams and roads – will make a huge impact over the next five years.
